Our Services

We get it, it’s hard to find ways to keep a person whose memory is fading active and engaged. We eliminate the guess-work by providing support materials, training, and ready to use classes that can be delivered to people with memory loss, individually or in a group setting.

Testimonials

Memory Keepers rewrites the story of dementia, replacing the old narrative of fear, isolation, despair, futility, and loss with one of hope, connection, growth, purpose, and courage. The virtual classes are so much fun! Our participants enjoy the person-centered, cognitively stimulating, and socially engaging interactions. Thank you, Britt and Cheryl, for enhancing the lives of individuals with memory loss and their caregivers.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Who is the Memory Keepers program intended for?

Memory Keepers program is for people with mild to moderate memory loss and can be delivered by anyone who wants to provide them with cognitive stimulation and social engagement. This includes, but is not limited to geriatric care managers, social workers, Occupational Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, home health workers, care communities, places of worship, adult day programs, community centers, and family members/care partners of those with dementia.

Where do I start?

We recommend you start by viewing our free sample session under “Your Courses”. This free sample is a complete session including speaker notes and links. This will give you a great understanding of what a Memory Keepers session will look like.

I’m interested! Now what?

Next, you will need to subscribe to Memory Keepers. Your monthly subscription will provide access to the required course, “Training for facilitators: Enhance your interaction with groups and individuals with memory loss.” This course covers how to direct a group or individuals through our program, communication skills, and more!

Your subscription also provides you with access to sets of Memory Keepers sessions that can be delivered in-person or virtually to individuals or groups. You will also receive access to Facilitator Notes and other tools to help you provide quality Memory Keepers sessions.

Can I use a Memory Keepers set more than once?

Absolutely! Your monthly subscription fee provides access for you to use Memory Keepers sets for as many people or groups as you want, during the period you subscribe. Each set contains 15 sessions. Each set has a different variety of topics and activities. We recommend doing one session a week, which is almost 4 months of material.

What is the difference between the different Memory Keepers sets?

A single set consists of 15 Memory Keepers sessions. Each set has a different variety of topics and activities.
Some sets are theme-based, so that all topics fall under the same theme (such as Sports or Art).

What is the difference between the different subscription packages?

Subscription packages combine various courses and content we offer. They may also provide additional logins. Depending on your subscription package, you will receive additional training, Continuing Education Units (CEUs), access to forms and other materials, and more.

How often should I meet with my clients?

We suggest meeting weekly for 30 minutes to one hour per session. You can adapt the sessions for each client as needed based on their tolerance and ability to engage in the session.

What should I charge my clients per session?

You can decide the rate you want to charge. You may have the opportunity to receive grant funding, allowing you to offer the sessions to your client for free. For private pay, one suggestion is that the charge for group therapy should be about one-third to one half of what your individual therapy session would cost (i.e. Charge $90/hour for individual sessions and $30 to $45 a person for group sessions).

Can I bill insurance for Memory Keepers Sessions?

Some licensed clinicians such as Occupational Therapists (OTs), Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), and Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs) may be able to bill insurance for Memory Keepers sessions. Begin by checking with your state licensing department to find out if you are eligible to bill insurance. Reimbursement varies by region and insurance payer.
